Pastor Wayman Mitchell ministers Monday night |
We recently concluded a powerful annual conference, hearing fantastic preaching, catching up with friends and fellow ministers and seeing couples launched out into the harvest field.
The week started with Pastor Wayman Mitchell ministering the Monday night service, and continued with morning seminars and evenings split between Pastor Mitchell and Pastor Joe Campbell. The theme of the conference was ‘the second generation’, and time was given in the evening to hear reports from new pastors of how God had moved since being launched out the previous year.
Pastor Peter Ajala ministers during the Friday seminars |
I was privileged to give a report of the Milton Keynes church on the Monday night to a warm reception, and testified of what God has done here in saving souls, seeing people baptised, involved in serving and making decisions for righteousness. In-keeping with the theme, opportunity was also given for those who had been launched into ministry relatively recently to preach, with Paul King and Luke Sanders both preaching insightful and well-delivered sermons.
Brian and Lisa Buckland announced into Sweden |
International night on Thursday saw a stirring world evangelism video and an exciting announcement as Brian and Lisa Buckland were launched from the Norwich church into Stockholm, Sweden. This is a first for our fellowship, but we are believing for Scandinavia to see a stoking of the embers of revival.
Friday came quickly, and the excitement reached a crescendo as Pastor Brown made the announcements for UK works after the evening service. 17 couples were launched in total, including many new works such as Oxford, Peterborough and Uxbridge; a particularly powerful testimony was Eric and Jackie Roberts from the Walthamstow church going out to take over the same church that they pioneered 20 years previously in Luton.
Couples are prayed for on Friday night |
We are believing God to continue to raise up the workers and open the doors as we now pass 90 churches in the UK.
